Living with Leviathan
Purpose, Approach
Firstly as a citizen-activist and then as an artist who has to let it all out, I wrote my sentiments and thoughts about the Gezi movement. After that, I edited an archive of images captured by mobile phones and amateur cameras during the resistance, which relate directly or symbolically to those words. So I took these images from the giant network where they were in between “trash and treasure” and gave them an artistic use.
“Living with Leviathan” is made with the thrill and the excitement of writing the history and creating a part of the future while “now” is slowly turning into the past. It’s dark but yet hopeful.
